Green noise vs pink noise
Pink noise covers all frequencies with a gentle slope, while green noise is focused in the middle range where natural ambient sounds live. If pink noise feels too broad and brown too deep, try green.
Frequently asked questions
What is green noise?
Green noise concentrates its energy in the middle frequencies, around 500 Hz. It sounds less harsh than white noise and less deep than brown noise — often compared to a waterfall or wind in a forest.
Is it safe to sleep with noise on all night?
For adults, yes at a moderate volume — keep it quieter than a normal conversation (below about 50–60 dB). For babies, place the device at least 2 meters (7 ft) from the crib and keep the volume low, as recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Does it work with my phone screen off?
Yes on most phones: the sound is played like music, so it keeps going when the screen locks. If your phone stops it, keep the screen on with low brightness, or add the page to your home screen.
